I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:18-19 To the Dorsey Family and Church Family, we extend our sincere and deepest sympathy. Another servant has answered God's call and is now resting in the arms of God. Your family chain is broken, yet again and nothing seems the same. However, as God calls you up, one by one, the chain will link again. May you find comfort in the thoughts and prayers of those that surround you during this time.

I'm so thankful to God for divinely connecting Mother Dorsey to my family and me. Much thanks to her children for so graciously sharing their precious mother. Everyone needs a Mother Betty Dorsey in their life. Mother Dorsey, her daughter Val and I started our Thursday intercession prayers phone calls years ago and continued until recently even as her health declined. We prayed for our pastors, members, church leaders and ministries, salvation for the unsaved, especially our families, community and world leaders and conditions, and much more as the Holy Spirit directed us. We praised and thanked God for many answered prayers.Eleanor, thank you for calling me that day recently when she asked you to call me so she could check on me and pray for me. Many thanks to you and your sisters for always keeping us connected. Each of you took such good and loving care of your mother. Your lives are living testimonies of having a Proverbs 31 mother living a holy life before her children and all experienced her. Remember, we grieve the same way we love... in our own individual way and time... As we miss Mother Dorsey we thank God for, as Eleanor comforted me, her "Royal Departure" and her life/legacy of knowing "We are Blessed by the Best!" as we live according to His Holy Word, One Day At A Time. -Much love, prayers, peace, comfort and encouragement today and always. Sis. BeverLee G.

Our family was so blessed when her daughters and her became members of the Church of God at Steel and Blue. Sister Dorsey was actively involved in serving in the gospel choir, usher board and Ladies Auxiliary. Her sweet spirit was infectious! She made sure her children also became actively involved in church activities. Her life represented obedience to the Lord and respect for church leadership. While pastoring the church, my Father and Mother appreciated how diligent she was in supporting the cause of Christ. She was truly a jewel! Respectfully, Dr. Xenobia Poitier-Anderson

Resolution from ALCAM Community Action Motivators Inc., and The Friends of ALCAM Inc. To The Family of Betty Dorsey, Dr. Verna Bradshaw andΒ  Mrs. Eleanor Whitfield We humbly embrace the spirit of such a kind and gentle matriarch of her family. Your Mother's arms have been your shelter and comfort for a long time, and now she is in the hands of her Father.Β  She has always shown love and compassion toward others standing on the phrase, "What Would Jesus do?" Verna and Eleanor, I remember your struggle to schedule time to take care of your mother. You took it on like young girls going somewhere special with your best friend. You felt it was an honor to give back the loving care you had received all those years. Thank God for a Mother's love. There isn't any love more powerful than that except the Father, our Lord and Savior JesusΒ  Christ. May you continue to be strong in the Lord. Continue to love each other and continue to serve Him with joy and gladness. For Great is the Lord, He is worthy to be Praised! As Ms. Dorsey is resting in heaven, waiting for her heavenly wings and crown of gold, God has received her proudly with strength renewed, and restored. Take hold of the good things for only what you do for Jesus Christ will last. God Bless you all and keep you in His loving arms. Sincerely, Ava Jacques, CEO ALCAM Community Action Motivators, Inc , 11310 Illford Dr Jacksonville FL 32246 Alcommunityactionmotivators@gmail.com

33 years ago, I was a young mother, having a baby in a hospital which at the time, was over its capacity. People were lined along the hallways, and there seem to have been so much chaos going on at the time. Needless to say, I was alone, and very afraid. Although I never mentioned my fears, or my feelings, Miss Dorsey was just a God-sent angel. She came to me and she started asking me questions, and I realized that she was trying to calm me and let me know everything was going to be all right. She asked me if I was a singer here in the city, and did I know her daughter Verna? She made me know that she sang with the Florida mass choir. I remember telling her I did know of Verna, and she sang the song about the little old lady. She stated "yes that's my baby". I could tell that she was a proud mother even at that moment, and she was keeping me calm as I began my new journey as a mother. I was cold, and felt miserable, but there were no blankets to be found, or pillows for comfort. I was actually using my luggage as a pillow. A few moments later Miss Dorsey came back to the hallway where I was and brought me blankets and a pillow. I was told I would probably not have a room to go to for least another day. But again, Miss Dorsey was on a mission. Who came back a few hours later, and she was putting me in a room? Yes, Miss Dorsey. I have no idea or explanation as to how things happened or how she made them happen. All I know is that my experience at the hospital was the best as it relates to how I was treated by Miss Dorsey. I tell the story to people everywhere I go because God has a way of putting people in your path that will take care of you when you have no idea. My heart is saddened that she has actually transitioned, but again comforted in knowing that God has truly called one of his awesome soldiers home. We love you Verna, and we are praying for the entire family that you find peace and comfort during this season of bereavement. I will never forget this lady; my earthly angel in my most distressed time❀️ Humbly Submitted, Bre CG
