Obituary For Cheryl Elaine Jones

Cheryl Elaine Jones, 57, of Bayboro died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Viewing hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary. The service may be viewed on Oscar's Mortuary Facebook Page.

Her service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at The Odd Fellow Cemetery, Oriental.

She is survived by her son, Ronte Jones, New Bern, NC; daughter, Christian Jones, New Bern; two brothers, Gregory Jones, CA and Frankie Gibbs, FL; two sisters, Avis Quarles, Oriental, NC; Cynthia Stewart, SC.

Masks are required and social distancing will be followed.

Cheryl Elaine Jones, my friend, whom I will miss dearly. I have so many fond memories of you, but one special moment is when you boldly danced at our school talent show, you did the moon walk! can you only imagine this beautiful creature sliding so eloquently across the floor, well she did! Avis and Family I have some many good Memories of our childhood. Cheryl, Vanessa you and I, boy didn't we have a good time from the shrimp, crab house(lol) to New Bern to the skating Ring and Purple Onion with Danny B. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Once I saw her I thought she was the prettiest Woman, that I had ever seen, Black or White!! After my going out years where over, when I ran into her she woul say, " Hey Katt", and I would still reply , HEY PRETTY LADY!!! I always lifted her up when I saw her!
