Judy was educated in the Greene County School System and later received her technical degree in Business Administration from Athens Tech in Athens, Georgia. She also received an Associate of Christian Studies degree from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute in 2013. She worked as an administrative assistant in the educational system for the University at Georgia, F.T. Corry Elementary School, and Carson Middle School before she retired in 2005.
After her retirement, Judy spent her time caring for her children and grandchildren, cooking, gardening, sewing, and just being of assistance to her family and friends. She started travelling in her latter years and discovered a new passion. She visited mCU1Y beautiful places and made lasting memories with her daughter, Peggy.
Judy was a natural caregiver to those whose paths were blessed to cross hers. She had a special love for others, which can only be described as God's love. She had a heart that loved despite of. She had a giving spirit and made others feel welcomed when in her presence. Judy met no strangers and left a legacy of love with all who knew her.
Judy was one of nine siblings, and she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dietrice Ann Brown and Clydia Bell Brown, and two brothers, Robert Gerald Brown and William George Brown. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three children, Peggy Brown, Willie Turner (Tequila), and RayMarkis Turner (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Moravia Turner, Nasim Turner, Aiden Turner, and Ray'nise Turner; a great grandchild, Micah Turner; four brothers, Ralph Brown, Moses Brown (Barbara), James Brown, and Ricky Brown (Natasha); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Turner will be held Saturday October 2, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church 202 W Broad St, Greensboro, GA 30642 12pm.
