Obituary For Za'Nyla Serenity Twyman

ZA’NYLA SERENITY TWYMAN, 9 months and 23 days, of Harrisburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 8:06 AM while a patient at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her Mother at her bedside as she took her last breath. She was born at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, the beloved daughter of Tanijah Anderson-Snowden and Avanta Twyman. At birth, Za’Nyla weighed 1 pound and 6 ounces. She was truly a survivor from start to finish. With everything she has been through and fought through for 296 days, Za’Nyla remained a humble and beautiful spirited baby girl. Her favorite activity was drinking her bottles and watching her Mommy and Daddy talking to her even though she had no clue what they were saying. Za’Nyla’s biggest accomplishment was defying the odds time and time again as she lived through many health challenges from her birth until her transition from this earthly life. She leaves to cherish precious memories of her; her loving parents, Tanijah Anderson Snowden and Avanta Twyman; her maternal grandmother, Tangier Q. Anderson; her paternal grandmother, Renee Twyman; her maternal grandfather, Richard Snowden; her paternal grandfather, Rickey Sawyers; her great-grandparents Yolanda Anderson, Russell Anderson, Darling P. Majors and Maggie E. Estelle; her aunts, Trinity Anderson-Snowden, Nevaeh Anderson-Snowden, Nataive Anderson-Snowden and Reneja Anderson-Snowden and a host of other relatives. Za’Nyla’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 24 in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home with burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed with face masks and social distancing for all attendees.
