Obituary

Christopher Settles was born on September 3, 1962 to Walter Settles, Sr. & Rosa Lee Settles. At a young age he was baptized into the church of Christ.

Christopher transitioned from labor to reward on September 19, 2021 in Brunswick, GA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Settles, Sr. His brothers, Johnnie W. Settles, Adolph L. Nelson, Sr. and Walter T. Settles. His father-in-law, Willie Lee Jackson. Sister-in-law, Lacy Humphrey and brother-in-law, Randall Jackson.

He was a master Chef and took pride in his skills and his recipes. He was employed for Pat O'Neal in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years. He also detailed cars in South Florida and was a part of a cleaning service.

He leaves to cherish his memories his caring wife of 30 years, Deirdre Jackson Settles. His mother, Rosa Lee Settles. Two sisters, Rozetta S. Johnson (Ivory, Jr.) and Benita Settles; Three brothers, Leonard Settles, Sr. (Shaunda), Timothy Settles and Darrin Settles (Lashwan). Mother-in-law, Lizzie Humphrey. Sister-in-laws, Anne Humphrey, Angel Jackson Lowery (Kenyatta), Bernice Settles and Deborah Nelson. A host of nieces and nephews, Harry Settles, Stephanie, Adolph L. Jr., Lamarcus, Tiffany, Erika, Walter, Jr., Michael, Teresa, Jeremy, Ivory III, Rukiya, Remeika, Bruce, T.J., Leonard, Jr., Kamecia, Tara, Timothy, Jr., Tyler, Daria and Kamryn. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Graveside services will be Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2PM at the Miles Family Cemetery in Quitman, GA with Bro. Clay Lee Phillips, eulogist.
