Obituary For Larry Dean Ratliff

Larry Dean Ratliff, 66, formerly of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 in Wichita Falls, TX.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28th, at the Sunset Church of Christ in Sunset, TX.

Burial will follow at Montague Cemetery in Montague, TX.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 27th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Larry was born December 1, 1954 in Bowie, TX to Coye and Myrtle (Goodgion) Ratliff. He graduated from Monahans High School in Monahans, TX. As a young man her worked for Monarch Tile, then moved back to Bowie and worked at Nocona Boot Company for many years, until their closing. Larry then went to work for Safran Seats until his retirement in 2019.

He always enjoyed taking evening walks and attending local concerts at the Bowie Community Center. Larry loved visiting with friends and family, and taking trips to West Texas to reminisce or trips and Arkansas to be with family. He was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sharon Hogue and Linda Romine, and niece Tammy Richardson.

Larry is survived by his brother James Ratliff of Bowie; nieces Tonya Mowery and husband Kenny of Duncan, OK and Melissa Fenholz of Michigan; nephews Shane Romine of Bowie and Chris Ratliff of Boyd, TX; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Larry to the Bowie Animal Shelter at 1508 E. Wise St. Bowie, TX 76230 or a charity of your choice.
