Obituary For Sheila Aneice Byers-Underwood

Sheila Aneice Byers-Underwood 66, of Gadsden, passed away on September 23, 2021.

Mrs. Shelia Aneice Underwood was born August 15,1955 to the late Louise and Homer Byers in Gadsden Alabama. She attended Norris High School.

At an early age she accepted Christ and United with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Attala, Alabama where Pastor W.H. Granger pastored.

She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter: Bianca Underwood; Brothers, Bruce Byers and Anthony Byers; Sister, Pamela Byers.

Shelia departed this life September 23, 2021. We will cherish the memories of her smile, her kind words and sense of humor. Wherever she vacationed she made sure she lit up the room.

Shelia leaves to cherish her loving memories: Her children: Kianna Brown and Jameika Underwood. Special nieces: Kaneesha Byers Maria Williams and Yolanda (Caprice). Special Friends: Calvin West and Vivian Blackburn. Grandchildren: Michelle, Mario and Shanthonie and host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Underwood was one of a kind, she loved her children just like she loved fish and Churchโ€™s Chicken. In her alone time you could find her sitting alone on her porch or in the chair somewhere reading the bible.

Funeral Service will be Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Mission Baptist Church at 1:00pm. Public Viewing will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 12 noon-6pm. Eulogist: Pastor Grady E. Robinson Jr. Interment: Whitney Cemetery

Shelia will be missed waking in the community and at the MT Calvery Baptist Church in Attalla Alabama. Whenever I would travel to my hometown of Attalla and would see Shelia she and I would always speak and converse with each other.
