Mrs. Doretha Hurst of Oak Park, Michigan Beloved Wife of Mr. Charlie Hurst, Father, Grandfather, Sister and Aunt born on August 2, 1944 in Bolton, Mississippi made her transition on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Oak Park, Michigan at the age of 77. Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 Family Hour at 10:00 AM with the Celebration Of Life at 11:00 AM at New Hope Tabernacle Church 20221 Lahser Rd. Detroit, Michigan 48219 Pastor L. Larnelle Robinson 313-535-7999. Interment will be on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Rd. in Holly, Michigan.

They it takes a village to raise a child, well Dora and family were apart of my village. Her and my mom were good friends when I was growing up on Jennings, you could hear them laughing from down the street. I would stay over with Dora sometime when mom had to work, and I would always hold her hand play with her finger nails. She always kept her nails done, and I thought they were so beautiful. So much so that I keep my nails done now because I want mine to be just as beautiful as hers was. Much Love, Joy Beason Morris
