She was educated in the Saint Lucie County Public School System, and she was employed as a QA Analyst for Convey Health Solutions.
Dorita met her BEST FRIEND and the LOVE OF HER LIFE, Travis Sentel Thomas, and the two were united in Holy Matrimony on July 21, 2018. The couple lived happily and made their house a home in Fort Pierce, FL. Dorita had a passion for studying the word of God. She also enjoyed gaming and spending time with her husband whom she adored.
On Sunday, September 19, 2021, the Lord summoned Dorita home, and she will be truly missed by all who knew her. Dorita was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Huff; her grandmother, Sarah Huff; and her aunt, Cheryl Huff.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Travis Thomas; her father, James Gordon (Margaret) of Fort Pierce, FL; her father-in-law, Reginald Thomas Sr. and mother-in-law Cindy Thomas, of Ft. Pierce, FL; her two brothers, Richard Butler and Quinton Gordon, both of Fort Pierce, FL; her brother-in-law, Reginald (Tracey) Thomas, Jr. of Suffolk, VA; her sister-in-law Vakeisha (Richard) Kellmel of Hollywood, MD; her grandparents-in-law, Sidney (Joyce) Long; her aunts, Deidra Huff (Wallace) Fulwood of Jacksonville, FL, and Debra Faniel of Ft. Pierce, FL; her uncles, Ira Huff, Keith Huff, Sidney L. (Daytra) Long, Rodney (Carla) Long; her great aunts, Hattie Baker, Lee Anna Collins, Ora Long of Fort Pierce, FL and Delores Phillips of Oakland, CA; her great uncle Bobby Smith; Godparents Pastor Jeffery (Linda) Haisley and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Public visitation for Dorita Thomas will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Graveside services will convene on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am.
