Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Lou Callahan, of Decatur will be held Monday, September 27, 2021, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Gresham, 2394 Gresham Rd. SE, Atlanta. Reverend Norman Thomas, Pastor Officiating. Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens, Ellenwood, GA. Public Viewing will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the mortuary, from 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. She will lie in repose, at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Henry Callahan; two children, Shelia Callahan & Jimmy Lee Callahan; one grandson, Kenji Boone and eleven siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Brenda (Marvin) Boone, Deborah (Charles) Smith, Laraine Favors; five grand-children: Daren Favors, Denez (Dicey) Callahan, Kordarius (Laquita) Boone, Charrah (Michael) Cerna, and Destinee Johnson. She also leaves behind one daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Callahan, sixteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives & friends.
