Private Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Michael Bernardo, will be Live Streamed Friday, October 1, 2021, at 12:00 NOON. Public Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the mortuary. A beloved son, twin brother, husband, uncle, cousin and dear friend to so many, Michael "Mike" Charlton Bernardo left this world unexpectedly, at 46, on September 11, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, PA., on August 7, 1975, to Patricia and Jose. Mike grew up and resided in Atlanta, GA, before relocating to Northern California with his wife, Valerie and daughter, Riley in 2019. Mike was a lover of culture, the arts and fashion. He enjoyed cooking, and he was an amazing chef. He loved trying new restaurants, new adventures and traveling. True to his roots, Mike was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Mike was very outgoing and super funny, with an infectious laugh and the brightest smile! Mike made a huge impact in this world, touching lives, always bringing laughter, making friends and gaining the respect of so many with his expertise in the restaurant industry. Mike's trademark was Social Reform and he always encouraged others to be themselves no matter what..."Dare to be You" he would say. Thinking of him, remember that he also truly cherished each person in his life. Mike, as we all know, was an absolutely beautiful spirit.

Mike leaves behind his wife, Valerie Bernardo; daughter, Riley Bernardo; parents, Patricia and Jose, twin sister, Shannon Bernardo Baker and Shannon's wife, Debbie Baker, niece, Briana Bernardo, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends and relatives. When you think of Mike, celebrate his life and the good memories you have of him. Remember to live as Mike did – boldly!
