Mr. Clinton Simmons

A Celebration of life for Mr. Clinton Simmons, Jr. will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, Rev. Ronnie Murray, Pastor, officiating. Mr. Clinton Simmons will be laid to rest with interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park. For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept my faith. 2 Timothy 4:6 A devoted Christian, Mr. Clinton Simmons, Jr. was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and Gussie Simmons. Brother Clinton Simmons, Jr. was born August 16, 1934 in Baker County Georgia. Mr. Simmons, Jr. departed this life on September 17, 2021. Mr. Simmons, Jr. attended the public schools of Baker County. He worked for the city of Albany for 8 years. He spent most of his time working here in Tampa, Fl he was employed for 40 years with Delta Asphalt. He also worked with APAC for 8 years. Mr. Simmons, Jr. received God at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was united in Holy Matrimony on November 22, 1969 to Mrs. Carolyn R. Simmons. He was a proud father of 2 sons, Clinton Simmons, III, and Steven Simmons and 1 daughter, Kimberly Simmons. Mr. Clinton Simmons, Jr. was preceded in death by 2 of his children, Clinton Simmons, III and daughter Kimberly Simmons. As well as 8 siblings, Booker T. Simmons, Clinton Eastwood Simmons, Will Lea Simmons, pair, Morris Simmons, Margaret Simmons Moore and Annie Simmons Moore. Mr. Clinton Simons, Jr. leaves to cherish his precious memories with: his wife, Carolyn Simmons; son, Steven Simmons; 2 daughters in law; Barbara Simmons and Delicia Simmons; 1 God Daughter Crystal Boyd Morris and Evelyn Moore; 3 sisters, Odessa Reynolds, Mattie Jones, Ozie Mea Wimes; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; His heart, Kionna Reed and a host of nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 6-8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa 33605. Family and Friends will assemble on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.
