Obituary For Mr. Evins "Ebb" Washington

Today we honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Evans Washington. Affectionately known as “Ebb”, Evans Washington was born January 3, 1946 in Marion County, South Carolina. He departed this life on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

“Ebb” was known by all as a great provider, a hard-worker, and a loving family man. He was very straight forward and by all who knew him, he was known to “tell it like it is”, but al-

ways out of love.

“Ebb” accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and served as a Deacon for many years at Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Lakeview, SC.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Linda Washington; two sons, Terry Washington and John Washington of Lakeview, SC; one daughter, Christine Washington of Lakeview, SC; grandchil-dren: Anthony, Erica, Sheika, Jessica, Tawanda, Dashonda, Sierra, Jonta, Johnasia, Shenia, and Taya; several great grand-children; ten sisters: Alberta Bailey, Alvine Leonard, May Washington, Clara Mae (Henry) Yates, Patsy Waters, Elizabeth (Roy) Carmichael, Naime Washington, and Barbara (Randolph) Jones; two brothers, Edward Charles Washington, and Gerome Washington; a host of nieces and nephews; and many very special friends.

Evans was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Ford, his father, Ed Jr. Washington, and two brothers, Billy Washington and Jerry Washington.

To The Grieving Family of Mr. Evins "ebb" Washington.... A message of Solace at The Time of Your Lost of a Loved One………… Many Wonder: What Happens to Us When We Die? WHY THE QUESTION ARISES: Most of the world’s religions teach that something inside a person continues living after death. Some hold that the dead can harm the living or that God punishes the wicked by condemning them to eternal torment in a fiery hell. WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES: At death, humans cease to exist. “The dead know nothing at all,” states Ecclesiastes 9:5. Since the dead cannot know, feel, or experience anything, they cannot harm—or help—the living.—Psalm 146:3, 4. It is my sincere hope that these words/this knowledge helps to sustain you, your family during your Bereavement… See also Genesis 3:19 and Ecclesiastes 9:6, 10.
