OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at St. John Baptist Church, 529 Augustus St., Opelousas, LA for Ms. Lushawdra Latrice Zachary, affectionately known as “Shonda”, 38, who entered eternal rest on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Pastor Paul Zachary of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service. Shonda leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Joann Zachary of Lafayette, LA; two brothers, Lionel (Shaquinta) Zachary of Opelousas, LA and Leroy Celestine, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by: her maternal grandfather, Burnell Zachary; uncle, Lionell Zachary; aunt, Darlene Zachary; and niece, Matiya Zachary.
