Edward Lee Mendes,84, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

Viewing hours are Thursday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 1:00 PM, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery 2200 East Rose St.: in case of rain Oscar's Memorial Chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Doris G. Mendes, New Bern; son, Jonathan Edward Mendes, Jacksonville, NC and daughter, Deborah Ann Mendes King, Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Hattie H. Moore, New Bern and Charlene Jackson, New York; two brothers, William Hubbard, Greensboro and Gerald Hubbard, Greenville, NC; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Masks are required and social distancing followed. Please bring a chair and water.
