Charles Dawson, Jr., 69, died Thursday September 30, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Ky.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Dawson Sr. three siblings, Gary Dawson, Freddy Dawson and Janice Dawson.

Charles maintained different areas of employment in Danville community, such as the Advocate Messenger, Burkes Bakery and worked in sales. He was also a chef in the White House at the time he was living in Washington DC. Everyone was amazed at his cooking skills. During his high school days he was well known for his skills in track and attended Eastern Kentucky University and was a member of the Omega Psi Phi "Que"Dogs.

He is survived by his mother, Hattie Dawson, daughters, Angela Dawson and Tonya King, son Julian Dawson; his siblings, Cassandra Smith, Kenny Dawson, Clifford Dawson, Tony Dawson and Leitha Dawson, also a host of nieces, nephews, and uncle also other relatives and friends

Charlie was a very special and talented guy. We started out in the first grade at the Catholic School then graduated from DHS. He was a very kind person, Flowers were sent from the DHS class of 1970 by Sheila Kavanaugh. I will you keep you all in my prayers.
