Paula Rita Cabbell Williams quietly departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, October 4, 2021. The daughter of Samuel Edward Cabbell and Carleen Cabbell, she was born November 3, 1959, in Welch, West Virginia.

Paula attended the public schools of Welch, West Virginia and graduated from Northfork High School in Northfork, West Virginia.

Paula gave her life to Christ at a young age. She was baptized and joined Love Design Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend William Turner in Keystone, West Virginia. After moving to Eden in the 1990’s Paula became a member of Sunny Home Baptist Church where she served as a member of their Usher ministry. She joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on May 13, 2001 and served faithfully until her death.

Paula was employed by Karastan Rug Mill for over fifteen years. She also briefly worked at Tri-City Ford of Eden and Bassett Walker of Martinsville, Virginia. She was a hardworking, dependable, and loyal employee for eleven years at Dorada Foods formally Equity Meats of Reidsville, North Carolina.

Paula was a friendly loving person who never met a stranger. She always offered a comforting word to everyone she would meet. Her smile and easy going way of greeting people with “Hey Baby” made each person glad to be in her presence.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Edward Cabbell, as well as her brothers; Samuel Cabbell, Jr., Richard (Ricky) Cabbell and Michael Cabbell.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Carleen Cabbell of Eden, two sisters; Thelma Sonnier (Sherman) of Conroe, TX, Elsie Capers (Walter) of Pinckerington, OH and a host of relatives and friends.
