Tallahassee - Emily Louvenia Austin James, 89, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. A retired employee of Governor's Mansion.

Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. Phillip A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 6200 Centerville Road, Tallahassee, Florida. Viewing will be Friday, October 8, 2021 from 12:00 (noon) till 6:00 P.M. at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Wilson "Pete" James; a son, Jerome James; three daughters, Jeannette James, LaTweet Gardner (Harbrige Jr.) and Valerie Davis; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
