Clifton “Badman” Wilder, son of the late Eva Mae Wilder Canty and Joseph Way and stepson of the late Marion “MC” Canty was born May 14, 1946 in Clarendon County. He was preceded in death by a son, Elliott L. Wilder, three brothers, Albertis Wilder, Paul Wilder, Jr. and Parker Canty. He attended Manchester High School in Pinewood, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pinewood, South Carolina. He was employed with Georgia Pacific in Sumter, South Carolina until his health declined. He was well known and loved by those who knew him. Clifton “Badman” Wilder departed this earthly life on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence in Pinewood, South Carolina. His memories will be cherished by his son, Christopher (Angela) Wilder, Shreveport, LA; a devoted sister, Mary L. Moses, Sumter, SC; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two devoted cousins, Bertha Ma McCall and LaToya Moore; close neighbor, James “BoBo” Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing was held from 4:00PM til 6:00PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning, SC.

Graveside services were held 1:00PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinewood, SC. Pastor E. L. Sanders, officiated.

The family received friends at the home of his niece, Monica Canty, 2000 Hideaway Dr., Sumter, SC.
