Linda Jean Taylor

Linda Jean Taylor was born on July 10, 1953 in Key West, FL to the late Naomi Jacobs Smith and Arthur Lee Gerwina. Linda attended the public schools of her hometown ultimately graduating from Lanier High School. To support herself and her family, she worked as a cook at K-Mart for 25 years. In her spare time, some of her hobbies included cooking, fishing, and spending time with her loved ones. Family meant everything to her. She was also involved with JC Ministries.

It was on October 1, 2021 that the Almighty God reached down and received the soul of His servant and took her home to rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi Jacobs Smith and Arthur Lee Gerwina; parents, Huel Adderly; sisters, Anna Louise Simmons and Mary Adderly.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Albert Taylor; daughter, Delores Taylor(Timothy Jackson); sisters, Naomi Gerwina, Jessie McCray; step-brother, Odell Jackson; grandchildren, Brittany Kitchen, Trenton Jackson, Mekhi Jackson, Katelynn Jackson; aunts, Betty Williams, Gloria Willingham, Julia Mae Wyche, Bernice Jordan; uncles, Willie Jacobs, Earnest Jacobs, Esau Jacobs; sisters-in-law, Brenda Major, Agnes Moore, Alberta McCray; brothers-in-law, Herbert Taylor, Colin Egdecomb, Darrell McCray, Otis McCray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Linda Jean Taylor will take place on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at House of God #1 in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
