Mrs. Anna Orra Gray(Robinson) married Willie L. Yates in 1962 and moved to Chipley, FL with Eddie and his siblings, Gwendolyn Genesis Robinson, Antoinette Annette Robinson, and Norris Maxwell Robinson. Eddie started working at a very young age for Yates Pulpwood Company that was owned and operated by his stepfather, Willie L. Yates. Eddie worked there for 20 years and then moved to Fort Pierce, FL. Upon moving to Fort Pierce, her started working for Platts Grove, Inc. as a grove attendant until he retired.
On Sunday, September 19, 2021, Eddie answered the call of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and transitioned from this earthly life to an eternal home. Although he is gone from our presence, his spirit and legacy shall forever linger in the hearts and lives of all he came in contact with and was really a beautiful and loving soul that will never be forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his loving sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn R. Rouse(the late Rufus), Antoinette Robinson Peak(Phillip Sr.), Rosalind Yates Rolle(Walter), the late Pamela Yates Holmes(John), Lorraine Walker, Cynthia Troup Ward, the late Edith Brown Brigham(James); four brothers, Norris Maxwell Robinson(Sandy), Wallison Yates(Shirley), Stevenson Yates, Sr.(Vera), and the late Arles Yates; two loving aunts, Kayola Johnson and T. Yates; nephews, Winston, Clinton Johanton Norris, Brenton Norris, Christopher Norris, Phillip Jr., Troy, Glen, Shatique, Stevenson, Brandon, trey, JJ, Benjamie, Clinton, Demetric(Deek), Jesup, Atticus; nieces, Kena, Sabrina, Nadia, Christine, Shopia, Petrice, Tammy, LaTonya, Marleana, Emma, Anaya, Lateisha, Philleana, Saraphina, Jessica, Jade, Masanda, Oceanna, Alice, Rosalind, Paige, Crystal, Jennifer, Amber, Kayla, Caren, Kim, Jade Alexander, Tammy, Lisa, Dallas, Bestest, Chandra, Markita, Shawente, Rosalind; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services for Eddie Robinson will convene on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 3:00pm.
