In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Joyce started her own design and antique business called Memories. She traveled around the world acquiring beautiful antiques and art and was known to help her best friends and family members all over the country decorate their new homes. Her love of beauty extended to her garden, which she loved filling with bright flowers.
In the final years of their marriage, Wilson and Joyce enjoyed breeding and showing Shih Tzus and living among artists in Santa Fe, NM. They entertained many of their friends in the evening with a pinon fire in their statue-filled courtyard. Joyce had a way of creating paradise on earth.
With her radiant smile and sharp sense of humor, Joyce lit up any room she entered. If you knew her long enough, you might either have a nickname (that might not make any sense to you) or a theme song that she sang when she thought of you. Her true passions in life were her family, her animals, her home, and her gardens. She touched many lives with her joyful, loving spirit, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
