Obituary For Marlyn S Patrick

Marlyn Ruth Stubbs Patrick, 75 of Greensboro, N.C. passed away at home on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was born on May 15, 1946 to the late Mr. Robert Lee Stubbs Sr. and Mrs. Ella McNeill Stubbs in Raeford, North Carolina. She was member of the 1964 class of Lawsone High School of Summerfield. Marlyn later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from North Carolina A&T State University. She accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Silver Grove Baptist Church.

Marlyn was a God-fearing, Believer of Jesus Christ and faithfully attended Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro, North Carolina for over 46 years, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and sang with the Vocal Choir. She was a true student of the Bible and ensured her children were introduced and learned of the unconditional love of God. Marlyn believed we should be the Word in action and practiced her belief as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

During her life she worked several different career professions; at a nursing home as a nursing assistant to customer service for a financial service provider. Being the hard worker she was, Marlyn also worked as an Assistant Dorm Director and in the passenger transportation industry. However, her favorite job was being Grandma.
