Mrs. Bobbie Jean Gamble West was born on July 16, 1943 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. Horace Davis and the late Ms. Lizzie Gamble.
Bobbie Jean was educated in the Turner County Public School System.
Bobbie Jean joined the Mt. Zion Church of God Apostolic in 1988, where she faithfully served until her passing.
On October 9, 2021 in Shingler, Georgia, Bobbie Jean transitioned from her life on earth to her Heavenly Home. Her parents, her husband, Bishop Elbert L. West, Sr., her sisters, Ola Mae Williams, Emma Jean Knight, Helen Gamble, and a “Bonus” son, Tommy L. West, have all preceded her in death.
Bobbie Jean leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Gwendolyn Louise Peacock of Clearwater, Florida, Teresa Middlebrooks, Tracy (Frederick) Lawson, both of Ashburn, Georgia; a son, Melvin (Linda) Whitsett of Tifton, Georgia; her “Bonus” children, Bishop Arthur (Elder Lorene) West, Elbert L. (Brenda) West, Jr., Barbara (Ivory) Brown, Elder Trudie (Elder Claudel) Parham, Sydney West, Ruby Gene (Minnie) West, Geraldine (Cory) Smith, Apostle Daniel Joseph (Pastor Towanda) West, Delois (Sammy) Clark, Mary (Charles) Poke, Vicki (Benjamin) Farrie; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; a special cousin, Bessie Mae Floyd of Ashburn, Georgia; her church family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
