Obituary For Damarius Rockett

Demarius KeShaun Rockett was born November 22, 1994 in Jackson, MS to Kirista Anderson and Dickie Greer. He entered into eternal rest on September 26, 2021.

Damarius confessed his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Goodman Missionary Baptist Church. He also served as an usher and choir member of for several years.

"Toog", as he was called by many, was a graduate of Williams-Sullivan High School Class of 2013. There he became a talented basketball player and received awards for MVP, Best Offensive and Best All-Around Player. As a player on the WSH Yellow Jackets boys' basketball team, they won several district championships, which led to several appearances to the MHSAA State Championship play-off games. He was later awarded a basketball scholarship and attended Holmes Community College. He loved sports, especially basketball which became his favorite pastime. He spent most of his summers at basketball camps or on an AAU basketball team to what he loved.

He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his family. He was always kind hearted and loved helping others.

Damarius was preceded in death by his grandfather; Jessie Greer; Aunt; Nora Phillips; Uncles; WC Greer and Jesse Greer.
