My sincerest condolences to the Anderson family. My family and I have such fond memories of Rev. E Walter Anderson. We grew up in Charles City County and attended Elam Baptist. We were sister churches with Parrish Hill Baptist. How we loved Rev. Anderson's powerful preaching, blended with the fruits of the spirit and congeniality. I remember when he told me he believed I would be a member of the clergy. Joyously, I have been a minister for the last ten years. We the children of Rev. Charles E Calender and Diaconate Dorothy Calender, Cassandra, Charlton, Shelley and Daphyne will always treasure the memory of Reverend Anderson and his beautiful wife. Rev. Anderson you have earned your rest and heavenly reward.

First Lady Lois; I am deeply saddened by the homegoing of my Pastor. We held a special relationship and he was surely my mentor for much of my life. He not only encouraged me and blessed me when we moved from Charles City to Germany many years ago but, he continued to be my friend and loving Pastor always. I will never ever forget how he ministered to us when the Lord suddenly called our infant son home. Devastating! Yes but, who but my friend ministered to us in a manner that showed true and sincere concern for us. I know he thought a lot of me and when I left Parish Hill for Germany, I made a promise to him and the church family that I would never ever intentionally do anything to speak badly of him or my home church family! I learned that attitude from him and praise God to date, I have kept that promise and as a result, I serve as a Deacon today simply because of his impact on my life. I thank God for his life and praise God for allowing him to be there for me and my family. Julian & Julie Jones Alexandria, VA

I remember when he use to walk to the back of the old Church after his sermon to greet everyone as they exit the Church, he use to always pinch my cheeks.
