Our sincere prayers and condolences to the family of Dr DeSue. Our family is indeed indebted to your family. From the time the Cummings family arrived in Jacksonville to serve the Eleventh District Dr and Mrs DeSue were always there on the scene. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the district and always was there to assist Bishop and Mrs Cummings in the work. For eight years he was an excellent member of the Cummings administrative team. Words cannot express our sincere gratitude for that time for the two of you were not only apart of the staff but also so kind to our entire family. The Cummings Mix family

Mrs. Lonnye B. DeSue and Family, During your time of sorrow in the loss of your beloved husband; father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather, The Reverend Thomas Benjamin DeSue, Sr, retired Presiding Elder, East Conference, Eleventh Episcopal District African Methodist Episcopal Church, who transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home, may knowing that others share the loss you bear be a comfort to you now and in the days, ahead. While you grieve his passing, you may take comfort in the words of the Apostle Paul, Thessalonians 4:13-14: "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. "May the God of all comfort sustain you during the days ahead." Psalms 119:76" In sympathy and in prayer, Mrs. Ora L. Easley, International Administrator, The Clergy Family Information Center, www.amecfic.org - Mrs. Jacquelyn DuPont-Walker, Director/Consultant, The Commission on Social Action, Bishop E. Anne Henning Byfield, Chair, The Commission on Social Action, African Methodist Episcopal Church

"What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." The Reverend Thomas Benjamin DeSue, Sr. Superannuated Presiding Elder of the East Annual Conference, of the 11th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Incorporated. Who believed that, "The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart." Presiding Elder Thomas B. DeSue was loved and respected by many people as a great pastor and hymnologist. His style and grace were legendary, and his image came to define him as a consecrated and dedicated servant of God. He was an outstanding Administrative Assistance to Presiding Bishops of the 11th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Inc. Let us never forget that, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faith servants." (Psalm 116:15 NIV). Prayfully submitted by the Rev. Dr. Willie D. Young, Orlando, Florida.
