You were such a patient and understanding father to your children and I will never forget how you all made me feel welcome in your home the first year of college at A&T. May your family find solace in each other's love and be comforted that you are definitely resting in splendor with the Lord above. Love to all, Lynn Robinson-Miller

Words cannot explain how much my dad and his stories he told me of his siblings had on me growing up to become who God guided me to be today. So many negative opportunities in life was offered to me. I didn't accept because God surrounded me with positive men in my life who I didn't want to disappoint. Listening to my dad talk about my uncle James made me want to strive to be the best that I can be. Tony Hayes. I love my family tree

Dear Family, I agree with all the above and even more than anyone will ever know. My fondest memory was being mistaken for his daughter and was surprised when I thought that I could have passed for his daughter because we favored so much. I was so proud to "look" like my Uncle James and showered him with love, kisses and hugs every chance I'd get. Now I shower that love to his family, my dear auntie and precious cousins and children. Wow! What a wonderful life you had and now you can rest in peace with our Lord and Savior. I love you. I love you. I LOVE YOU! your niece Ladene Hayes-Wiggins

James, our dear brother. We will miss you and all your familiar ways. Your brightest smile when you always feel the room with laughter. Your desire to help anyone in need having the kindness of heart. Never once bragging over all the honor you achieved from the army you served. Yes, we will never forget our moments with the family reunion. Sadly, to say there will always be an ache in our heart. Lovingly, Virginia and Robert Hayes
