Mrs. Ross and family, Marshall, Jamale (Class of 2017 TMSA) and myself were shocked to hear of the death of Mr. Ross. Mr. Ross is and was a classy gentleman. He always made sure that the students of TMSA (6th through 12th grade) saw him and he mentored most of them. Mr. Ross was a no nonsense person and he got his point across. I worked with him when there was basketball games and we were selling snacks and drinks at all of the games. We even went to Winston-Salem to the Lawrence Joel Collisium to raise funds for the Booster club. Mrs. Ross, please know that we are here for you and the family. Mr. Ross, you are no longer in pain. You fought a good fight, good and faithful servant of God. You have earned your wings my friend. Rest In Peace.

Mr. Ross sat in my office for a solid hour a few days before leaving to go on his much anticipated fishing trip weekend. I was just as excited as he was to hear his excitement and to hear him talk about his love for fishing. He had stopped by my office to check in to make sure he had no athletic games to drive our student athletes to before leaving for afternoon. That was on a Wednesday afternoon and he was all set to leave on that Thursday. We laughed an joked around and it never dawned on me that that would be the last time seeing him. I would have taken the afternoon off to continue our conversation if I'd known then what I know now. He was a special person, someone that I had a lot of respect for. He not only was our school's booster club president at one time, but he dedicated a lot of time trying to mentor some of our students who needed a little encouragement or a message in life's lessons. He drove our athletic teams wherever they needed to go and he never complained about anything. He repaired my garage door twice, repaired my daughters garbage disposal. He was a man that new things and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He will be missed at TMSA and I'm sure many will shed a tear for him, but he went through much to get to this point in his life and body finally may be on the wrong side of the dirt as he would often say he's glad to be on the good side of the dirt, but his spirit is in everything that he touched. My condolences go out to his wife and children and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may the peace of God surround you with love that surpasses all understanding be abundantly upon you. -The Williamson Family
