Obituary For Maude Ester Gullatt Mitchell

Mrs. Maude E. Mitchell was born on October 20, 1923 in Taliaferro County, Georgia to the late Willie and Versell Gullatt. She was married to John Ed Mitchell who preceded her in death. She had two sisters; Clara (Jap) Wright and Lee Ethel Harris and one brother Robert L. Acree to precede her in death.

“Mome” as everyone knew her was a sweet, loving and caring person. She was the rock of the family. At an early age she joined St. Paul Baptist Church and was the oldest member.

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021 the Lord called Maude home. He delivered her from sickness and pain.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Barbara Mitchell of Woodville, Ga. and her pet dog in which she loved dearly “Pretty boy”; Maude had six children to precede her in death: Clarice (Bennie) Greene, Gladys Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Freddy Mitchell, Linda Mitchell and Shirley Mitchell all of Woodville, Ga. Maude also leaves behind four generations of grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
