Clarence Landor III (Dutty) was born on April 24, 1975 in Opelousas, LA to the late Clarence Landor Jr. and Martha Landor. Clarence was employed at Savoie’s Sausage and Food Products, INC. in Opelousas, LA., where he used to make “roux” that we use today to make our gumbo, smoke sausage and tasso until he became disable and had to be let go because of his health.
Clarence leaves to mourn, yet cherishing his most unforgettable memories are: his loving daughters Tangie Bowman of Opelousas, LA and Tasquanna Jones of Orange TX; a devoted and faithful sister Jill Landor of Houston, TX; five brothers: Lee Landor of Houston TX; Antonio Alexander (Tamika) of Leonville LA; Telvin, Tykel, and Riokeem Cheeks all of Opelousas, LA; three adorable grandsons: Ka’ryn and Kane Simien and Graylin Patterson all of Opelousas, LA; two nieces: Kuria Landor of Opelousas, LA and Nyjaliyah Landor of Houston, TX who was a devoted care giver that was always by his side until the end, even administering CPR to him until the paramedics arrived on scene; two nephews: Avantae Landor and Zaylan Greene both of Opelousas, LA; two uncles: Charles Ray Landor (Karen) and Lester Landor both of Opelousas, LA; one aunt: Gerry Jones of Fort Bragg, NC; six great aunts: Ollie Ruth Hicks of Plaisance, LA; Patricia Randle of Opelousas, LA, Gracie Randle of Alexandria LA; Clara Joseph, Gladys Joseph and Lois Joseph all of Opelousas, LA; One special great nephew: Kentrell Anderson of Houston, TX; and a host cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Martha Landor Jr.; his son: Clarence Landor IV; paternal grandparents: Clarence Landor Sr. and Nettie Mae Jones; maternal grandparental: Eugene Brown, Sr. and Rose Anna Brown; great grandparents, Clarence and Eleanor Randle; one brother: Jasper Landor; two sisters: Krissy Landor and Clarissa Cheeks; five uncles, Robert Earl Landor, Walter Joseph, George Joseph, Ray Brown and Eugene Brown, Jr.; two aunts: Mary Stephens and Shirley Payne; one nephew: Kevon Collins and a host of other great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
