OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Morris Vallier, Sr., affectionately known as “PaPa Babbit”, 70, who entered eternal rest on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery #2 in Church Point, LA. Fr. Conrad Brown will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Vallier (known as the Ice Cream Man) along with his wife Barbara were the owners and operators of their own Ice Cream Truck for over 40 years. He was also known for his good cooking and participation in the black pot cook off.

Mr. Vallier leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Barbara Vallier of Eunice, LA; four sons, Morris (Terrinesha) Vallier, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Carnell (Catina) Davis, Sr. of Crowley, LA, Stanville (Tina) Landry and Roger Vallier, both of Church Point, LA; three daughters, Mary Solomon Angelle (Darby) of Rayne, LA, Clarissa Landry of Sunset, LA and Pam Landry (Brian Hamilton) of Arnaudville, LA; two brothers, David (Bertha) Vallier of Lafayette, LA and Archie Vallier of Church Point, LA; six sisters, Caroline Boudreaux, Vicky Leopaul (Murphy) and Linda Harrison , all of Church Point, LA, Martha Vallier of Baltimore, MD, Debra Vallier (Randy Hayes) and Kathy Vallier (Charles), both of Lafayette, LA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Ewell and Aline Vallier; one sister, JoAnn Bellard; and a cousin, Gary Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
