Willie Rickerson Jr., 75, the son of Willie Rickerson Sr. and Lucille Stewart Floyd was born on September 1, 1946 in Wilson, North Carolina. Willie worked several years at Flagler College and St. Augustine High School as a custodian. He also held employment in construction as a skilled painter. Willie dedicated his life to the Lord and became a member of New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry. Willie enjoyed boxing and football. His favorite NFL football team was the Jacksonville Jaguars. He never stopped believing in them, and would cheer them on no matter what. Willie also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved dancing and could make anyone laugh with his witty personality.

In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in eternal rest by his sisters, Martel Burton and Mary Rickerson Elliott; nephew, Tavares Rickerson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters: LaRonda (Hardy) Jenkins, Marsha Jakes, Taushia Rickerson and Leola (Freddie) Russ all of St. Augustine, FL; Sons: Willie Rickerson III and James Wilson both of St. Augustine, FL; Brothers: Jessie Lee (Margaret) Rickerson of St. Augustine, FL and Carl Richardson of Chesapeake, VA; Sisters: Gloria Rickerson of St. Augustine, FL and Sylvia Rickerson Boone of Jacksonville, FL; 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews,extended relatives and friends.

The Rickerson family will receive friends and the community on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 5PM - 6PM at New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry, 676 Christopher Street St. Augustine, FL 32084 - Rev. A. Dewey Britton, Pastor.

The Celebration of Life service will be 11AM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry.
