Obituary For Prophet Isaiah Coats “Ike”

Prophet Isaiah “Ike” Coats was born on May 1, 1943 in Turkey Town, AL.

Isaiah was a member of St. Paul Overcoming Church of God. He served faithfully as a deacon for many years. He loved God and St. Paul. He also served his country faithfully in the US Army.

Isaiah leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Mary Jo Coats of 59 years; four children: Mary Rebecca (Kenny) McCants of Gadsden, AL, Gregory Coats, of Chattanooga, TN, Sylvia (Cedrick) Woods of Gadsden, AL and Lillie Coats Tryon of Montgomery; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren ; one great great-grandchild, and many friends, and acquaintances.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday afternoon on October 22, at Gadsden Memorial Home. Graveside Service will be Saturday, October 23,10 am. at Lincoln Hill Cemetery.
