Obituary For Shanod A. Johnson
It is with great sadness that the family of ShaNod A. Johnson informs you of his passing on October 16, 2021.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
He is a Georgia native and became a successful entrepreneur in the Hospitality/Nightlife industry at a very young age.
He graced us in this life for 39 years with his love, laughter, and great sense of humor. We are grateful for the outpouring of love; support and we are thankful for the prayers and warm thoughts expressed on our behalf.
We are holding a candlelight vigil in ShaNod's honor at Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge, located at 4525 Glenwood Drive, in Decatur, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. We are asking attendees to wear black, blue, or white t-shirts.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Covenant Church, located at 1700 Corey Boulevard in Decatur, on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Facemasks are Required.
The service will be Officiated by his lifelong friend Pastor Edward Long, and Eulogized by his Senior Pastor, Dr. Jamal H. Bryant, of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Shanod was like an older brother to me & basically my Big Brother. It's so cool how he was always a Visionary & Living Legend and to know he established a legacy that will continue to live on. Shanod impacted countless lives, looked out for so many of us, and truly lived an incredible life. So many lessons I'm still learning from him & will continue to. One of my favorite things about Shanod is simply knowing that he married, made a family w/, and got to enjoy life w/ the love of his life: Mrs. Johnson. My warmest embrace and deepest condolences to you and your beautiful & amazing children. This unforeseen season of life will have its share of challenges, but I'm thankful & prayerful for true angels/angels-in-disguise who have been (will be) so divinely placed in your lives to help see you through (it all), just as Shanod would want as well.
