Edward JeʹOvontae McFadden affectionately known as “Je” or “Rock”, son of Wyvonia McFaddin and Gary Brown was born November 1, 1992 in Manning, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by a son, JeʹOvontae Tirell McFadden. He attended the public schools of Clarendon County School District One and was a 2011 graduate of Scotts Branch High School, Summerton, South Carolina. After graduating from high school he enlisted into the United States Army and served from 2013-2017. He was very comical, friendly with a heart of gold. If he was going through anything you would have never known unless he told you, because there was always a smile. There was never a dull moment when he was around, Mr. Smiley. He departed his humbled life on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Orangeburg County. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving and devoted mother, Wyvonia McFaddin of Summerton, SC; father, Gary Brown of Greenville, NC; one sister, Britney Peterson of Manning, SC; two brothers, Tajharey McFadden and Kashaun Starks both of Summerton, SC; paternal grandparents, Reverend Larry and Louise Wright of Eutawville, SC; maternal grandmother, Reather Bennett of Summerton, SC; godmother, Angela Gamble of Aiken, SC; three aunts, Rita Forte of Maryland, Stacie Wright of Eutawville, SC and Samantha McFadden of Summerton, SC; three uncles, Terell Wright of Eutawville, SC, Clemit McFadden of Davis Crossroads and Kevin Wright of Eutawville, SC; a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing was held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00PM til 6:00PM at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church Street, Manning, SC.

Graveside services were held 11:00AM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at New Bethel Holiness Church, Davis Crossroads Community, Summerton, SC.

The family received friends at the homestead of Charlie and Efra Starks, 253 Starks Drive, Summerton, SC
