Obituary For Brenda Lattimore

Ms. Brenda Jo Black Lattimore, 68, of Shelby, NC departed this life Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton, NC. She was born on June 16, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Badge Lee Chapman and Cola Black Chapman.

Brenda was employed with Jackson’s Cafeteria for many years until their closing. She loved to dance and loved doing her puzzle books.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Walter Dawayne Lattimore.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her son, Tavarus Keon Lattimore (Monica Jefferies); two special aunts, Shirley Mae Banks (Charles) and Marilyn Washington (Gary); a special friend, Charles Marable; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other aunts, uncles and friends.

The funeral service for Ms. Lattimore will be held on Monday, November 1 2021 at 3:30 PM at A Glimpse of the Kingdom. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the church on Monday and other times at 512 Northern St. Shelby.

To the family we love yall I remember Brenda Jo her and my mom was beay friends I was her baby every time she come to see me she have the biggest smile on her face eating some starch Rest Easy baby when she was in the nursing home and I found out I would go see her and when she first saw me I got that smile and she just held my face you will be missed but NEVER forgotten we love you always Brenda Jo from Van Lou and Pookie
