Ms. Barbara was a wonderful, loving mother and friend. Her home was always open to me and any of her son's friends. She feed us, loved us, laughed with us, and chastised us if needed. Anyone around her was never in need. If she had it, you had it! She embraced and loved me as one of her own children. To my brothers, El, Keith, and Boo Baby, I love you. I love you Ms. Barbara. You will truly be missed. You lived your life to serve others and now it's your turn to be served. Enjoy rest with our Father. ~ Shanell

Ms. Barbra, You are truly going to be missed and every way. You were an angel and a great inspiration, in life people say it is better to have loved and never to have loved at all which you were great love. I won't say goodbye however I will say until we meet again on the other side. I know you'll be watching over your family as time goes on. And I know they will know that you are there because there will be a familiar smell and feeling. To the family stay inspired motivated and driven by her great memory and spirit... Forever & Always... Sending my condolences and love to the family. I remember the days and time that Barbara would open her home to feed those that were hungry, give clothing and shelter if needed to the kids in the neighborhood even when she did not have a lot to give but God made away. Barbara had a heart of gold and a revolving door and passion for good cooking. She will missed, she is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord savior Jesus Christ

Ms. Tootie was a very sweet and kind person. She was always there for people, she NEVER met a stranger, and you were NEVER hungry around her either. She LOVED to cook(and it was ALWAYS GOOD). I remember Ms. Tootie from Bankhead Courts, but she is also my Granddaughter's (Kaylonni) Great-Grandma. I don't like that she only had a short time to be in her life, but God must have needed her to take on a better role in Heaven. I just take it as another Angel watching over us. Gone but NEVER forgotten..... Candies Green and Family :-)

Although, we never met Ms. Tootie, I know of her through Okedas, my niece, Candace and our grandniece, Kennedi. It is our prayer for the family that God will strengthen, comfort and give them peace through this sorrowful time. It is blessing to be loved by so many. Ms. Tootie will definitely be missed, but her legacy will continue through her children and grandchildren. Rest in Peace, Ms. Tootie. With love, Mona & Mike Lewis
