Mr. Lacy Earl Chambers

Passed 10/20/2021

Mr. Lacy Earl Chambers, age 54, of Morven, NC passed away on Wednesday morning, October 20, 2021. His sudden death became a reality after being missing for three weeks, when he was found. It was a shock to the family and all who knew Earl.

Lacy Earl, the second son of Mrs. Bertha Lindsey Chambers and the late Albert Thomas Chambers, was born February 13, 1967 in Chesterfield County, SC.

Lacy Earl attended the public schools of Anson County and was a graduate of Bowman Senior High School, Class of 1986. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Galilee AME Zion Church, McFarlan, NC.

Earl truly loved his family. He also enjoyed grilling and cooking Boston Butt for his family and friends. If a grill was put in front of him, he would burn some food. All you had to say was, “Earl, I need you to cook on the grill for me” and it was done. Earl loved his dogs from childhood. He spent most of his time working and was a nice dresser. Earl could wear his Blue Jeans and they would be neat from Waist to Toe.

Preceding him in death was his father, Albert Chambers; brother, Samuel Thomas Chambers; and nephew, Wendell Price Jr.

He leaves to cherish in memories, his beloved daughter, Carla Olivia Hailey of Wingate, NC; his beloved mother, Bertha L. Chambers of Morven, NC; three sisters, Olivia Chambers, Wendy (Isaac) Owens Jr. and Debra Chambers all of Morven, NC; one brother, Otis (Shonda) Chambers of Wadesboro, NC.

Aunts and Uncles: Arthur Chambers, Betty (Zadek) Woodburn, Blenda (James) Neal, Curtis (Bernice) Lindsey, Bessie Lindsey, Bonnie Lindsey, Bobby (Charlie) Wilson, Louise Marshall, Freddie (Nancy) Lindsey, Carol (Rayford) Johnson, Linda (Reginald) Lindsey, Lesley Love and Cookie Quick.

Two nieces, Tamara Owens and Dominique McKever; three nephews, Christopher Robinson, Otis Chambers Jr. and Samuel Chambers. A host of great nieces; great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A special friend, Ms. Terry Colson.

The Graveside Services were held on Sunday, October 24, 2021, 2:00pm, Galilee AME Zion Church Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.

The Chambers Family would like to sincerely thank each of you for your continued prayers.
