Obituary For Deacon Robert Lee Frederick, Sr.

Deacon Robert Lee Frederick, Sr. was born November 21, 1946 in Allendale County, South Carolina to the late Izell Frederick and the late Reva Williams Frederick. He was educated at Denmark Technical College.

At an early age, he united himself with the Three Mile Creek Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Ehrhardt, South Carolina. Where he served in several capacities. He served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Trustee Board, and the Gospel Choir. He also loved to spread the gospel through singing and telling the goodness of Jesus. He loved the Lord. In 1974, he organized a quartet group. The Voices of Joy where he sang spiritual songs lifting up the name of Jesus.

Deacon Frederick was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joyce Roberts and this union was blessed with five children. he was a hard worker and a good provider for his family.

He was employed with Rockland Industries; Bamberg, South Carolina and Mohawk, Ulmer, South Carolina as a Machinist. He was an Asphalt Truck Driver and also an avid farmer; he enjoyed watching things like watermelon and greens grow.

In addition, to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by: (1) Son: Carlos Kearse, (3) Sisters, and (1) Brother.

Deacon Frederick answered the Heavenly Father call on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memory: (5) Children: Wanda Flippen, Greenville, SC., Robert Lee Frederick, Jr., Columbia, SC., Denise (Antonio) Ardoin, Hopkins, SC, Joyce L. Frederick, Columbia, SC., SFC Larinz M. (Samantha) Frederick, Virginia; (15) Grandchildren; (5) Great-Grandchildren; (6) Sisters: Iren Jordan, Fairfax, SC; Ella Ruth Payne, Barnwell, SC; Dorothy (Charles) Stokes, Smokes, SC, Bennie Dublin, Allendale, SC, Annie M. Wilson, and Annie R. Wilson all of Atlanta, GA; (3) Brothers: Isaish Frederick III, Leroy Frederick, and Willie J. Frederick all of Fairfax, SC; Devoted Caregivers: Annette Flowers, Allendale, SC, and Darryl Young, Fairfax, SC; (2) Devoted Cousins: Kathleen Williams, Columbia, SC., and James Frederick, Fairfax, SC; (2) Special Friends: Herman Thomas and Benny Crim. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Sorry for your loss. I met Robert over 20 years ago and we became friend, the last time I talked with Robert we was making plans for me to visit him and bring him a fruit cake. I will miss him telling me about God and his singing. Ann R.
