Mr. James Bennett, Jr., 154 Oak Street, Wrens, Ga departed this life Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his residence. Private military services will be held. Mr. Bennett was a native of Jefferson County born the parentage of the late James Bennett, Sr. and Alberta Evans. He was veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for six years reaching the ranks of SGT (T) E5. He received medals and badges for Rifle Expert, Pistol Marksman and Good Conduct Metal before receiving an honorable discharge. James decided that his calling in life was to become an X-Ray Technologist and received his degree before gaining employment at Metropolitan General Hospital and worked until he reached the position of supervisor of Radiology. After retirement he returned to Jefferson County. He is survived by several family members. Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street is in charge of arrangements for Mr. James Bennett, Jr.
