Mr. Chachere leaves to cherish his memories: one son, James Chachere and Tamarcus (Katina) Chachere whom he raised as his own; three daughters, Nichole Duplechain (Willary), Shameka Chachere (Medgar) and Jatara Jenkins; one step son, Jamaul Joseph Senegal; two step daughters, Rockelle Mayfield and Jada Mayfield; five brothers, Samuel (Gwen) Citizen, James Landry Nelson, Antonio Landry, Michael Landry Nelson and Steven Landry; nine sisters, Leanna Gray, Marie Guidry, Cheryl Booker, Sandra Stevens, Brenda Nelson, Patricia Landry Nelson, Rosana Nelson, Bridgette Carriere and Victoria Nelson; two Godchildren, Gene Malbrough and Joseph Lee Batiste, Jr.; grandchildren, Willary Duplechain, John Duplechain, Jamarcus Moore, Keyshawn Moore, Meagan Simmons and Tyler Simmons; great grandchildren, Dayonna Citizen, Keyshawn Moore, Jr. and Zander Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Alice Landry and Jimmy Chachere, Sr.; one son, Cedric Chachere; one daughter, Myrtle Chachere; paternal grandparent, Edolia “Taunt Toot” Guillory Simien; and five sisters, Claudette Vallery Chachere, Sharon Ann Nelson, Elizabeth Cole, Betty Nelson and Marie Landry Nelson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Point Church.
