Today is my grandma Christine birthday! I am screaming to the heaven's Happy birthday grandma! The kids and I will be starting a garden in dedication to my grandma by planting a flower. We haven't decided on which flower to start it off with, but it will be just as beautiful as she was. I remember sitting on her porch in the summertime and just observing how many plants she had in her garden. I was so amazed at how many different kinds there was, and even more amazed at how she took such good care of them. I remember asking her how she knew how to grow flowers and she just said I just learned. I am learning myself on how to do just that. God, I miss my grandma so much. Those days will always be cherished in my heart. God, please tell grandma I said Happy birthday and that I love and miss her so, so much!

As a child when I thought about summer it was wrapped up in two words, Grandma Christine. Spending time with my grandma Christine at her home in Tifton Ga is where all of my happy childhood memories were born. She did not complain about anything, she appreciated the life she lived, and cherished all the small things. My Point of view on the world is heavily influenced by Her. We d walk everywhere, but we laughed and talked all the way there and back. We didn't have a big fancy tv with cable, but those few channels that we did get always brought joy and laughs to our heart as we sat up at night eating popcorn and ice cream sandwiches. I absolutely loved her and seen her as my Mom. I am grown now, and Grandma Christine has entered into her eternal place, but those moments with Her molded me in the most divine way, and forever cherished by me.

My Grandmother Christine home in Tifton Ga was something of the sorts. The way she had everything out for display always captured my attention, and helped inspire my love for art as I grew up. Grandma Christine and I would walk around her home from wall to wall as I asked about each figurine and read every prayer, or quote. This was the season I realized the power of thumbtacks. If you know you know :) Grandma Christine was just a gem, and I am so blessed to have had her in my life. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her.

I witnessed and experienced the Holy Spirit for that first time at my Grandmother Christine home in Tifton Ga. I was 7 years old, and we were reading the Lord's Prayer. I sat right beside Grandma Christine and song it to her. She looked at me astonished, and I looked at her with so much gratitude in my heart. I cherish this memory in my heart. Forever.
