Obituary For Evelyn Degree

Mrs. Evelyn Webb Degree was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on March 18, 1937 to the late Lola Mae Webb Hardin and the late J. D. Bivens. She transitioned from her earthly home on Friday; October 29, 2021 at her home.

Evelyn spend half her life working in the school systems in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She worked in the textile industry as a knitter. Evelyn loved working in the nursing home helping the elderly. After retirement, she would be found working in her yard with her plants and rearing her daughter, Rodricka Turner.

Evelyn was preceded in death by parents; her son: Robert Turner; a sister: Hattie Burris and a brother: Robert Hardin.

Memories shall forever be cherished by her children: Roy Turner, Rodney Turner and Lamar Turner; three sisters: Vera Holmes (Walter) of Davidson, North Carolina, Marie Kendrick of Gastonia, North Carolina and Lola Adams of Gastonia, North Carolina; one brother: Robert Jr. Hardin (Odessa) of Gastonia, North Carolina; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Wednesday; November 3, 2021 the funeral home beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service
