Sammie Lee Turner departed this life on October 30, 2021 at Alive Hospice, Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 83. He was born in Marshall County, Tennessee to the parents of Shirley Lee and Minnie Sue Turner.

Those left behind to cherish his many memories, his daughters, Sheron (Jesse) Dotson and Shelia (Ron) Shepherd; sons, S. Davis (Phyllis) Turner and Sherwood Turner; foster son, Randall Shaw; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; devoted brother, William (Carolyn) Turner; devoted sister, Johnnie Brooks; nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friend Ms. Mary Ann Scales and many friends.

Mr. Turner will lie in state on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12 until 5 at Waters Funeral Home.
