Obituary For Sammie Lee Turner, Sr.

Sammie Lee Turner departed this life on October 30, 2021 at Alive Hospice, Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 83. He was born in Marshall County, Tennessee to the parents of Shirley Lee and Minnie Sue Turner.

Those left behind to cherish his many memories, his daughters, Sheron (Jesse) Dotson and Shelia (Ron) Shepherd; sons, S. Davis (Phyllis) Turner and Sherwood Turner; foster son, Randall Shaw; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; devoted brother, William (Carolyn) Turner; devoted sister, Johnnie Brooks; nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friend Ms. Mary Ann Scales and many friends.

*** Due to COVID-19 In order to enter the church for service you MUST have on a mask per new regulation for the funeral home. You are responsible for supplying your own masks as well ***

Mr. Turner will lie in state on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12 until 5 at Waters Funeral Home.

Visitation with family Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11 until 12 at Clayborne Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 147 Trinity Road with funeral to follow. Reverend Jerry Brooks, officiating. Interment Clay Hill Cemetery, Chapel Hill, Tennessee..
