Obituary For Barbara Jean Hairston

Barbara Hairston, 88, of Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab Center, Rocky Mount, VA. She was born in Martinsville, VA on February 26, 1933, the daughter of the late George Deshazo and the late Lula Belcher Deshazo.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hairston, and a grandson, Jackie Deshazo, Jr.

Barbara was a member of Refuge Temple Ministries.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Jackie Deshazo, Sr. of Martinsville, VA, and Michael Deshazo of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Elder Alan Preston, Eulogist. Friends may come by to sign register book on Friday, November 5, 2021 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing is required.
