Obituary For Mr. Leroy Trevathan Jr.

Youngstown A homegoing celebration in honor of Mr. Leroy Trevathan Jr. will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1pm at Washington Funeral Home, 2234 Glenwood Ave in Youngstown, OH. Mr. Trevathan departed this life October 29, 2021 in Cleveland, OH. He was born on March 4, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Mattie P. Clinkscale Tate and Leroy Trevathan Sr. Leroy was a graduate of South High Class of 1970. Following graduation, he served in the US Airforce in 1971 during the Vietnam war. He was stationed in London, England where he received an honorable discharged. He was employed at the US Steel Mill for a period of time and later relocated to Cleveland, OH his present home. Leroy was small in statured but mighty in heart. He enjoyed playing sports such as basketball and baseball. Also, he was a lifetime fan of the Cleveland Browns. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish precious memories, a brother, Thomas Trevathan of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters; Shaquela "Shaq" Jones, Gale Douglas, Kimberly Tate Boyd, (Keith Boyd) all of Youngstown Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece Marquette K. Jones. The family will receive friends Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12pm-1pm at the funeral home.
