Obituary For Rosa Green

Rosa Lee Green passed away on November 4, 2021 at the Woodlawn Grove Rehab. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida on August 24, 1931 to the late Mark Barnes and Mary Burney. She received her early education in the public school system of St. Johns County and graduated from Excelsior High School in the class of 1948. She attended Florida A&M University and received an AA degree. Rosa Lee then went on to work for Attorney Charlie Bennett. She substitute taught in the publics schools and later retired from Florida School for The Deaf and Blind. She served faithfully in her church, North City Baptist, Emanuel Oliver, Pastor, as the Church Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Choir Member and Deaconess. She was also a member of the Choir Guild.

Preceding her in death are her sister, Mable Hall; her mother, Mary Hall; her daughter, Ernestine Brant; and her son, Charles Eubanks.

Rosa Lee leaves to mourn her passing sons, Derick Eubanks, Sr., Daytona, Florida; Gil Wise, St. Augustine, Florida; daughter, Madeline Wise, Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Melanie Robinson; McKenzie Morris, Richard Jackson; Gregory Brant II, Ebony Brant; Ramika Wise, Dominique Wise; Derick Eubanks Jr., Dericka Eubanks; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends, including special friends Ms. Virginia Celinski, Anthony Dailey, Larry Mitchell, Felicia James and Montrell Storey.
