Nicholas J. Pruitt, known as Nick and Nicky by all who loved him, of 6980 Irisburg Road, was called home unexpectedly on Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was 17 years old. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather, Chief Apostle Willie James Davis, Jr. Nick left behind to cherish him his mother Ginger Davis Pruitt of Axton, Virginia; his father, Joseph Tyler Pruitt of North Carolina; 2 sisters, Arianna Alyssa Harris (Radford) and Jasmine Nicole Pruitt (Axton); his 2 brothers Cole Tyler Pruitt (Axton) and Cody Tyler Testerman (Danville); his grandmothers Mary Maxine Davis and Carrie Tickle (Danville); a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nick was born March 25, 2004. He was a loving, sweet, and giving young man. If you knew him, you know he had a beautiful heart and soul. He was bright light in a dark room and always joking and being a comedian. He enjoyed playing video games, skateboarding, and hanging out with his friends. He was a member of Refuge Fundamental Church where he participated in many outreach ministries. Nick was an A honor roll senior at Magna Vista High School and also attended Patrick and Henry Community College. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, classmates, teachers and staff, and many others.

A graveside service will be held at Danville Memorial Gardens, Friday, November 12, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Elder Arnold Bullock officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hairston Funeral Home, Martinsville, Virginia. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
