Mrs. Johnnie Mae Taylor was born March 5,1943 to the late Mr. Wheeler Billingsley & Mrs. Florence Billingsley in Gadsden, AL.
She was educated in the Gadsden School System and attended Carver High School. At an early age. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Damascus Baptist Church.
She was employed at Spring Valley and the Royal Palm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheeler & Florence Billingsley; Siblings, James Billingsley, Ace Billingsley, Daniel Billingsley, Charles Billingsley, Jeff Billingsley, Julia K. Harvey, Julia A. Billingsley, Sallie Harvey, Mary Jackson, Wheeler Jr., Mattie Mae Dupree.
Johnnie Mae departed this life on November 5, 2021. She will be missed and cherished by all that knew her.
She was well-known for her cooking and lending a helping hand to all and any that needed help.
She leaves to cherish her memories to: Daughter, Ann (Ronnie) Sears of Gadsden, AL, Sons, Isiah (Lisa) Billingsley, Rickie Billington, and Billy Ray Billingsley; God-daughter, Terae Pearl; She was loved and respected by16 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren. Sister-in-laws, Lucille (George) Thomas, Dorothy Harris; Brother-in-laws, John Maull, Robert Maull, and Willie James Taylor; Sister- in-law and special friend, Jerrie Thomas; Great-aunt, Mattie Whitehead; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, November 12, 2021, 12noon-5pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Mission Baptist Church at 1:00 pm. Eulogist: Reverend Tim Madden. Interment: Lincoln Hills Memorial Gardens
